Dr. Yan Kalika
Yan Kalika, DMD, MS is a certified specialist in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontics, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics and the San Francisco Dental Society. Dr. Kalika graduated with honors and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California at Berkeley in 1993, majoring in chemistry. While in Berkeley, he was in the Students Honor Society and Golden Key Honor Society. He received his dental degree from Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 1998. In addition, he completed a fellowship in Washington D.C. in the field of dental health policy. While at Harvard, Dr. Kalika served as president of the American Student Dental Association where he received a national award of excellence. He was a lecturer at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and Harvard School of Public Health. He received honors in all clinical disciplines at Harvard School of Dental Medicine, the Soma Weiss Research Scholarship and an International Research Fellowship from Harvard Medical School. Dr. Kalika completed his orthodontic training at the University of California at San Francisco where he received a specialty certificate in orthodontics and facial orthopedics and a master’s degree in oral biology. He is committed in providing quality orthodontic treatment while exceeding patients and parents’ expectations.

Dr. April Lee
April Lee, DDS, MS is a certified specialist in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. She received her undergraduate degree in biology from the University of California at San Diego, her dental degree from the University of California at San Francisco and her orthodontic and masters degree in craniofacial biology from the University of Southern California. Dr. Lee is an active member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontics and the San Francisco Dental Society. In her free time, Dr. Lee loves globe-trotting around the world and exploring the multitude of hiking trails around the bay area. She also enjoys dining out and trying new San Francisco restaurants and is learning how to play tennis.

Dr. Benson Wong
Dr Wong has over 16 years of private practice experience in the greater San Francisco area. He has a strong technology background, is an advanced SureSmile® provider, and brings with him advanced Roth gnathologic principles blended with modern orthodontics. He is passionate about delivering comprehensive oral care in a caring, personal environment. Dr. Wong finished dental school at UCSF in 1993 then obtained his orthodontic specialty training at NYU. He later completed a two-year course at the Roth/Williams Center for Functional Occlusion. This additional training has allowed him to treat TMD concerns with an orthodontic approach. Dr. Wong, his wife, Corrine, and his daughter, Madison, live in Millbrae. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, bicycle riding, photography and Macintosh computers.

Dr. Sidney Wisdom
Sidney C. Wisdom, D.D.S., M.S., is a graduate of Pacific Lutheran University, Tacoma, Washington with a BS degree in biology and the University of Washington Dental School, Seattle with D.D.S. degree. He received a Master Of Science Degree in Orthodontics from the University of Texas, Houston. Dr. Wisdom spent five years as a general dentist and nine years as an orthodontist in the Air Force. He was the chairman of the orthodontic departments at Yokota, AB, Japan, and the Travis Medical Facility, Travis AB, Ca. He retired from the Air Force Reserves. Dr. Wisdom has practiced in Roseville since 1986. He also traveled to Moscow, Russia where he treated patients at two American organized dental clinics in Moscow. He also treated patients in Prague, Czech Republic for several years. You will find Dr. Wisdom to be very kind and gentle with a genuine concern for his patients. Raising five children of his own has made Dr. Wisdom very understanding of the preteen and teenage years. He and his wife are proud grandparents of five grandchildren.

Dr. Michael Horii
Dr. Michael Horii received his BS and DDS from Western Reserve University, completed his specialty certification in orthodontics and facial orthopedics and then went on to earn a master’s degree in oral biology from Case Western Reserve University. He has more than 30 years of experience creating beautiful smiles and treated three generations in the Mission neighborhood of San Francisco. In his free time Dr. Horii focuses on his family time and is excited it have welcomed a new grandson! He also is an avid traveler and a food and wine enthusiast.

Dr. Thomas A. Iverson
Dr. Thomas A. Iverson has practiced orthodontics in the Yuba Sutter area since 1987. He graduated from the University of California at San Diego in 1980 where he earned a bachelors degree in Biology with a double minor in Psychology and Chemistry. Dr. Iverson graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry, which was located in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Iverson received his certificate in Orthodontics in 1987 along with a Masters in Oral Biology from Northwestern University in Illinois. Dr. Iverson is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics which is the only orthodontic specialty board recognized by the American Dental Association and sponsored by the American Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Iverson actively participates in the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists and the local dental PPA. He is also a member of the Super Shulman Orthodontic study club, which is comprised of top orthodontic practitioners in the country. Dr. Iverson is committed to staying in the forefront of orthodontic science by continuously attending numerous continuing education courses. Dr. Iverson lives in Yuba City with his wife, Wendy. Together they enjoy traveling, skiing, and biking. "My desire is to make your visit here comfortable and fun while improving the beauty of your smile and health of your teeth."

Dr. JD Miller
Dr. JD Miller was born and raised in Salem, Oregon. He attended Sprague High School and went on to graduate from Willamette University with a degree in Biology. Dr. Miller received his DDS from the University of Southern California and then completed a residency in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the University of Colorado Health Sciences.

Dr. Miller spent several years in practice in Southern California and Salem, OR. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics.

Spending time with family and travel are some of the activities that Dr. Miller enjoys. In his leisure time, he also plays golf and tennis.
