Dr. Yan Kalika
Yan Kalika, DMD, MS is a certified specialist in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontics, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics and the San Francisco Dental Society. Dr. Kalika graduated with honors and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California at Berkeley in 1993, majoring in chemistry. While in Berkeley, he was in the Students Honor Society and Golden Key Honor Society. He received his dental degree from Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 1998. In addition, he completed a fellowship in Washington D.C. in the field of dental health policy. While at Harvard, Dr. Kalika served as president of the American Student Dental Association where he received a national award of excellence. He was a lecturer at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and Harvard School of Public Health. He received honors in all clinical disciplines at Harvard School of Dental Medicine, the Soma Weiss Research Scholarship and an International Research Fellowship from Harvard Medical School. Dr. Kalika completed his orthodontic training at the University of California at San Francisco where he received a specialty certificate in orthodontics and facial orthopedics and a master’s degree in oral biology. He is committed in providing quality orthodontic treatment while exceeding patients and parents’ expectations.
Dr. Michael Horii
Dr. Michael Horii received his BS and DDS from Western Reserve University, completed his specialty certificate in orthodontics and facial orthopedics and then went on to earn a master’s degree in oral biology from Case Western Reserve University.
Dr. April Lee
April Lee, DDS, MS is a certified spcialist in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. She received her undergraduate degree in biology from the University of California at San Diego, her dental degree from the University of California at San Francisco and her orthodontic and masters degree in craniofacial biology from the University of Southern California. Dr. Lee is an active member og the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the American Association of Orthdontics and the San Francisco Dental Society. In her free time, Dr. Lee loves to globe trot around the world and explore the multitude of hiking trails around the bay area.
Dr. Jeffrey Kwong
Jeffrey Kwong, DDS, MSD is a certified specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontics, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics and the Sacramento District Dental Society. Dr. Kwong graduated with Distinction from the University of Toronto in 2000, majoring in human biology. He received his dental degree from Case Western Reserve School of Dental Medicine in 2004. While at Case Western, Dr. Kwong served as class president as well as a tutor to the underclassmen. He received honors in all clinical disciplines and was selected to become a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. Dr. Kwong stayed at Case Western Reserve University to complete his orthodontic training where he received a specialty certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial orthopedics as well as a Master’s degree in Dentistry. Dr. Kwong is board certified as a specialist in Orthodontics by the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, as well as the American Board of Orthodontics. His experiences have included orthognathic, multi-disciplinary, craniofacial, TMD, Invisalign, soft tissue lasers and he is highly experienced in the utilization of mini-screw implants for orthodontic anchorage. In his free time, Dr. Kwong is an avid movie fan, he enjoys travelling, "yelping" new restaurants, and spending time with his wife, a native of Sacramento.
